The Korean Communities and Organizations in Baguio and Benguet, through HELP English Institute, distributes relief goods to the victims of the typhoon at Puguis. The Korean community has also pledged to provide for the infrastructure needs of the tent village which was set up at the Benguet State University grounds near the Strawberry Fields. ARTICLES/REPORTS
As of October 29, 2009, the Municipal Disaster Coordinating Council received a total of P 4,653,095.20 worth of donations in the form of cash and goods. This does not include the worth of the services rendered by those who volunteered their time and expertise in the rescue and retrieval of the victims of the typhoon nor of the assistance extended by those who manned the relocation/evacuation centers. |
